OUR SCHOOL!!!
This week has been all about our school, classroom objects, and stationary. The groups have been introduced to some useful vocabulary as well as some common phrases to help them use English in a functional, familiar setting. Games have been played to reinforce the vocabulary and strengthen their gross motor skills, while fine motor skills were practiced with the use of the stationary the children have in their classrooms.
The children have also been reviewing the phonetic alphabet. The older groups have done a great job remembering most of the sounds, and we hope to start blending sounds very shortly. The younger groups have been doing letter recognition, finger tracing, and other activities to help solidify their knowledge of said letter sounds.
Next Week we will be talking about our favourite toys!
