Christmas!!!

All of the groups have been learning a little about Christmas this week. Some great role play games have see the children pretend to be Santa Claus, evles, and even the Grinch! Crafts have included finger painting, paper crafts, cut and paste activities, and some creative uses of sequins, cotton, and other materials.

The groups have also tried to learn a little about the “Spirit of Christmas”. Kindness, thoughtfulness, and sharing were the main social and emotional topics of this week, with the aim to get the children to be more understanding and empathetic.

Teacher’s Notes

It has been a fun crafty week for the groups, as well as learning some festive songs for the upcoming Christmas Party. We have seen the children get messy with projects, and take special care with decorative elements.

It is our goal to try to ensure that each child’s needs are individually met. By doing a variety of activities and giving a choice, this pupil centric method gives the children a sense of purpose and accomplishment. They can decide on their activities, and they do their best to complete them to the best of their abilities.
