“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up” – Pablo Picasso

Painters, Paintings, Artists, and Art. This week has been all about using different medium to express oneself through artistic creations. The children have been exposed to the styles of various popular artists such as, Picasso, Matisse, Pollock, and a few more learning about the different styles and techniques used to create their art. The children were given tasks to replicate a style in their own way and the results were very creative!

For the younger groups, it was all about colours and their ability to be mixed. A variety of materials were used; crayons, pencils, paints, play doh, and whatever could be scavenged to achieve the tasks at hand, and we enjoyed the children’s enthusiasm.

Next week: SPLISH SPLASH!!!

Have a good weekend, and see you soon!
